MACUFE 2025 TO BE OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED

The Mangaung African Cultural Festival (MACUFE) is ready to be launched for the 2025 edition. The implementation of the recalibrated MACUFE programme is set to be implemented form 3 to 7 September 2025.
The implementation of this Free State Provincial Government flagship programme in 2025 is in line with the commitment made by the honourable Premier of the Free State, Me Maqueen Letsoha-Mathae, during the 2025 State of the Province Address. In tabling the Departmental 2025 Budget Vote Speech, the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation (SACR), Me Ntombizanele Sifuba, reiterated the message of the honourable Premier pertaining to the implementation of a reimagined MACUFE programme.
MACUFE 2025 will thus be officially launched as follows:

Venue: Wesleyan Church, Waaihoek (Bloemfontein)
The launch will serve as a platform to officially pronounce on the contents of the 2025 MACUFE programme by the Free State Provincial Government.
The 2025 MACUFE programme, which will be fully unpacked at the 01 August 2025 launch, will feature the following events as scheduled:
