    Old Presidency
    This majestic house was the official residence of the three presidents of the Republic of the Orange Free State from 1886 to 1900.

    The following presidents lived in the house, namely JH Brand, FW Reitz and MT Steyn. After the Anglo-Boer War, Lord FS Roberts and the officers of the British army used the house as their military headquarters.

    The house was converted into a museum in 1984 and opened to the public. The museum also has a ballroom which can accommodate up to 120 people, which can be hired for various functions.
