The Free State MEC for Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation Mrs. NS Leeto would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Kabelo Motsamai (Prince Kaybee) for winning the Best Remix award at the 16th edition of the Metro FM Awards (MMAs) that were held in Durban on 25 February 2017.
This was Prince Kaybee’s second Metro Award following his 2016 win for Best Dance Album.
The Free State Department of Sport, Arts, Culture, and Recreation continues to support Prince Kaybee and many other Free State artists through various platforms such as the recent SA Sport Awards held in Bloemfontein where he performed and also through the annual Mangaung Cultural Festival (MACUFE) where he dazzled fans with his sounds.
Congratulating Prince Kaybee, MEC Leeto said, “We are immensely proud as the people of the Free State to have been represented so well by a talented individual in the form of Prince Kaybee.
His successful voting campaign was as a result of our collective and combined support.
The patriotism of the Free State people was felt through Prince Kaybee’s voting campaign which he carried out since the announcement of his nomination.
I therefore wish to thank thousands of people who voted for him. Prince Kaybee is one of many talented Free State artists and hopefully, we will have many more to emerge and excel at a national stage like he is currently doing.”
